Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and controls. The role involves ensuring systems operate safely and efficiently, with limited supervision and adherence to CBRE standards.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED with 4–5 years of related experience or trade schooling. Universal CFC certification is preferred, along with additional certifications in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or painting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with 4–5 years of related experience or trade school training.
• Universal CFC certification preferred; additional certs in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, painting or plumbing are a plus.
• Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• Strong safety mindset and knowledge of codes and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Adhere to codes, regulations, and company safety directives.
• Maintain energy management programs and optimize system efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs.
• Ensure proper storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems to ensure performance within design specs.
