Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and related infrastructure.

The role supports preventive maintenance, safety compliance, and energy efficiency initiatives within the Engineering and Technical Services function. The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience, plus preferred Universal CFC certification.

Qualifications

• High school level education with 4–5 years of related experience or equivalent combination.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred and may be required by local regulations.
• Ability to exercise judgment using multiple information sources.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, plumbing, fire/life safety, and control systems.
• Ensure building systems meet applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to optimize system efficiency.
• Support preventive maintenance to extend equipment life and perform emergency repairs.
• Follow safety and hazardous materials handling policies and keep a clean work area.
• review building systems including fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing for design compliance.

Education

High School Diploma or GED or trade school diploma

Universal CFC certification (preferred)
