Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems such as plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling. You will support the Engineering and Technical Services function with preventive maintenance and under broad guidelines to ensure safe, compliant, and efficient operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent with 4–5 years of related experience and a Universal CFC certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of related experience.
• Universal CFC certification is preferred; certifications/licenses may be required by local or state jurisdictions.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads (50 lbs or more) and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, furniture, fire, life safety, and control systems.
• Comply with codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to ensure efficient operation of all systems.
• Support preventive maintenance programs and perform emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials and keep a clean workplace.
• Review inspections of fire alarms, HVAC, and plumbing to ensure proper operation.
