Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Engineer in Peachtree Corners, GA to monitor, maintain, and repair building systems including mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and life-safety components. You’ll support preventive maintenance, ensure compliance with codes, and help optimize energy use to meet client expectations.

The role requires 4–5 years of related experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Any CFC certification is a plus; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4–5 years of related experience (in lieu of diploma, experience + education considered).
• Meet physical requirements: stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ ladders, lift/carry 50+ lbs.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs to mechanical, plumbing, structural, fire/safety, and control systems.
• Comply with applicable codes, regulations, and safety directives.
• Maintain an energy management program to maximize efficiency.
• Assist with preventive maintenance and emergency repairs as needed.
• Follow policies for safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Review inspections of building systems (fire alarms, HVAC, plumbing) for design compliance.
• Share knowledge across disciplines and coach others.
• Lead by example and embody CBRE RISE values.
• Impact activities within own team and related teams.
