Job summary

ECS Group of Companies is seeking a Building Enclosure Project Associate to join our Mid-Atlantic Building Science & Infrastructure team in Roanoke, VA. You will support enclosure consulting projects through field investigations, testing, analysis, and report preparation, collaborating with experienced consultants to deliver practical solutions for diverse facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, Architecture (NCARB), or related field.
• At least 2+ years of related experience in building enclosure consulting, including field investigations, testing, or forensic assessments.
• Licensure or certification preferred (P.E., RA, IIBEC certifications, BECxP/CxA+BE).

Responsibilities

• Perform building enclosure testing, site observations, inspections of roofing and enclosure systems.
• Interpret drawings, site plans, and provide testing protocols and test plans.
• Prepare clear technical reports with observations and recommendations.
• Support multiple projects, coordinate with field staff and senior managers.
• Assist with design reviews, repair design, and peer review of specifications.
