Job summary

LaBella Associates in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY seeks an Electrical Engineer with a career focus on Building Projects to join a collaborative project team and help develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports from conception to construction.

The ideal candidate will work with architects and engineers across disciplines, perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies, prepare electrical design drawings in Revit and AutoCAD, conduct field investigations,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3 - 7 years of experience.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
• Expected to improve current knowledge of technologies and trends, as they apply to the applicable project and market types, and continually strengths skills.
