Job summary

LaBella Associates in Rochester, NY is seeking an entry-level Electrical Engineer to join the Building Engineering team on projects from concept through construction. You will collaborate with Architects and Engineers to develop lighting and power distribution designs, perform calculations, and prepare drawings using Revit and AutoCAD, plus field investigations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports as part of a project team.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Conduct field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Collaborate professionally with co-workers, staff, project managers and other disciplines.
• Continually update knowledge of technologies and market trends relevant to projects.
