Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an entry level Electrical Engineer to join our Building Projects team in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY. You will work with a project team to develop concepts, designs, drawings and reports from concept to construction, collaborating with architects and engineers across disciplines.

The role involves lighting calculations, power distribution design, and field investigations, with typical projects spanning K-12, higher education, municipal, healthcare, and commercial

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating professionally with co-workers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all employees.
• Continually strengthen skills by staying current with technologies and market trends.
