Job summary

LaBella Associates seeks an entry level Electrical Engineer to join our Building Engineering group in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY. You will collaborate with Architects and Engineers on project teams to develop concepts, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for building projects from conception through construction.

The role involves lighting design, power distribution, circuit calculations, and field investigations, contributing to a variety of projects including K-12, higher

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.
• Experience in the A/E consulting business is a plus.
• Strong writing, organizational and communications skills.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Maintain a positive work atmosphere and professional communication with team members.
• Continuously strengthen knowledge of technologies and trends relevant to projects.
