Job summary

LaBella Associates seeks an Electrical Engineer with a strong focus on building projects to join our Rochester, NY office. You will work with engineering staff to develop concepts, designs, drawings, specifications and reports, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on projects from proposal through construction.

You should have a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least five years of professional experience (three in an A/E consulting firm).

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, with 3+ years in an A/E consulting firm.
Autodesk Revit proficiency required.
EIT or PE license preferred.
Experience in electrical distribution systems, power, lighting, and utilities, as well as communications, security, and fire alarm systems is desired.

Responsibilities

Interact closely with mechanical, civil, structural engineers and project architects.
Serve as project electrical engineer for multi-discipline projects through all phases (proposal, design, bidding and construction).
Perform code reviews.
Delegate and monitor project tasks to junior team members.
Meet with external and internal clients.
Perform building condition assessment reports.
