Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an entry‑level Electrical Engineer to join our Building Projects team in Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY. You will collaborate with engineers to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports from conception to construction.

The role includes lighting calculations, power distribution design, circuit and feeder calculations, and power, telecom, security and systems layouts, with field work and construction administration across diverse

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Associates Degree in electrical engineering or related field required.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Background in AutoCAD and/or Revit is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work with other engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Perform field investigations to document existing conditions.
• Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by communicating professionally with coworkers, staff, project managers, other disciplines, and all other employees.
• Continually strengthen knowledge of technologies and trends relevant to the projects.
