Job summary

LaBella Associates is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a career interest in Building Projects to work in our Albany, NY or Poughkeepsie, NY office.

This position will work with other Engineers as part of a Project Team to develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications, and reports for buildings from conception to construction. The Electrical Engineer will collaborate with architects and engineers on lighting, power distribution and system layouts for diverse projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3–7 years of experience in electrical engineering in building projects.
• EIT certification is a plus.
• Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop concepts, strategies, designs, drawings, specifications and reports for buildings from conception to construction.
• Prepare electrical design drawings using Revit and AutoCAD.
• Perform lighting calculations and arc flash studies.
• Collaborate with Architects and Engineers as part of a project team.
• Support field investigations to document existing conditions and assist construction administration.
