Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform master systems integration of BMS, build control databases, and create user interfaces per project specs. You will provide on-site and remote support, startup and commissioning, and ensure systems operate per design.

The role requires knowledge across BMS disciplines, Niagara, Distech, BACnet/Modbus, and HVAC controls, with travel up to 50% and remote installations as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to analyze problems and apply judgment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills and inquisitive mindset.
• Must have knowledge in at least three of: Building Management Systems, Niagara, Distech Controls, BACnet/Modbus, HVAC Controls, IT Networking, Commissioning, Troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams and panel layouts.
• Program control applications with various software tools.
• Site startup, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Verify operation per project specifications and design docs.
• Develop system graphics displays per specs or proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support.
• Evaluate systems and diagnose issues.
• Isolate and resolve escalated problems and report findings to project team.
• Apply standard principles to tasks and solve routine problems.
• Work within standardized procedures to meet deadlines.
• Explain complex information clearly to others.
