Job summary

CBRE Building Automation Engineer role involves Master Systems Integration of building management systems (BMS), building control databases, and creating user interfaces based on project specs. You will provide on-site and remote technical support, perform field startup, system commissioning, and software installation tasks for large enterprise clients.

This role sits within the Software Engineering function and supports global projects.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in HVAC, Electrical, Mechanical or Software preferred with 2-5 years of relevant experience.
Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Travel requirement up to 50% of annual time; overnight trips up to a week.

Responsibilities

Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
Confirm proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
Approve and develop system graphic displays according to project specifications or sales proposals.
Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
Perform multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
Document problem resolution and report findings back to the Project team for customer follow-up.
