Job summary

CBRE is seeking a Building Automation Engineer to perform master systems integration of BMS, build control databases, create interfaces, and set up control systems per project specs.

Responsibilities include on-site/remote support, field startup, commissioning, and software installation. Travel up to 50% is required. A bachelor’s degree in HVAC, electrical, mechanical, or software with 2–5 years of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 2–5 years in relevant field.
• Ability to analyze solutions using technical experience to apply judgment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Create complex programming using flow diagrams, sequences of operations and panel layouts.
• Perform programming of control applications using various software tools.
• Perform job-site system checkout, commissioning, and testing of control applications.
• Confirm proper operation according to project specifications, sales proposal, and design documentation.
• Approve and develop system graphic displays, according to project specifications or sales proposals.
• Provide on-site and remote technical support to installers and customers.
• Perform multifaceted system evaluation and diagnostics.
• Isolate and troubleshoot escalated problems and take corrective action.
• Document problem resolution and report findings back to Project team for customer follow-up.
• Explain complex information to others in straightforward situations.
