Job summary

S:US is seeking a Residential Specialist for their families with children shelter in the Bronx. This in-person role requires providing a warm, compassionate welcome to new residents and promoting person-centered services, ensuring safety in a 24/7 operation at E.

178 Street, Bronx, NY 10457. The ideal candidate will communicate with empathy, maintain logs and paperwork, provide orientation, coordinate meals, and work with case managers and shift supervisors.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or GED with 3+ years social service experience.
• F-02 certification required.
• Security license mandatory (may be obtained within 6 months).
• Trauma-informed, client-centered, anti-oppressive approach.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular rounds to ensure safety and residents' wellbeing.
• Enter activity logs and shift notes promptly.
• Complete admissions paperwork and escort residents to services.
• Meet with Shift Supervisor for supervision and planning activities.
• Provide orientation and administrative support in the facility.
• Coordinate meals and assist with meal services.
