Job summary

Dime Commercial Bank in Bronx, NY is hiring a Customer Service Associate at its Bronx Branch. The CSA will ensure accurate completion of customer requests, respond to inquiries promptly, and handle routine bank transactions.

The role requires up to one year of retail banking experience, strong numeric and regulatory acumen, extensive cash handling, and the ability to cross-sell services while maintaining compliance with BSA/CTR/SAR requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year retail banking experience.
• Cash-handling experience preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills and compliance knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashier's checks).
• Reconcile cash drawer by counting and packaging currency and coins.
• Perform account services for all customers of Dime.
• Respond to inquiries and provide knowledge of Dime products and services.
• Support Branch Manager through in-branch sales and campaigns.
• Report under BSA, CTR, SAR and internal tracking.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews for SOX 404 accuracy.
• Maintain current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
• Identify lending opportunities and refer to appropriate department.
• Make decisions within authority (overdrafts, overrides) when managers absent.
• Cross-train on teller window and banking platform as needed.
