Job summary

Dime Commercial Bank is hiring a Customer Service Associate at its Long Island City branch in Queens. The CSA will ensure accurate completion of customer requests and services, respond to inquiries promptly, and process routine bank transactions.

Prior experience in related banking roles is a plus. The position is on-site in Long Island City, NY, with full-time hours and opportunities to support branch operations and sales efforts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum 1 year of retail banking experience is required.
• Cash-handling experience is preferred.
• Advanced PC, network, email, and MS Office skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently, including deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cash advances, cashiers’ checks, and night drop bags.
• Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions, counting and packaging currency and coins.
• Perform account services to all customers.
• Respond to customer inquiries and deliver in-depth knowledge of Dime products and services to provide appropriate solutions.
• Support branch manager's business development efforts through in-branch sales, phone, and direct mailing campaigns.
• Report under the Bank Secrecy Act requirements (CTR, SAR) and internal reporting.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure data accuracy for SOX 404 purposes.
• Possess current knowledge of bank regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to service clients with lending needs and refer to the appropriate department.
• Make decisions on overdrafts, overrides, etc., in absence of managers.
• Cross-train on teller window and banking platform as required.
