Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year retail banking experience required.
• Cash-handling experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Advanced PC, E-mail, Director/Internet/Word Processing/Spreadsheet skills preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues.
• Thorough understanding of compliance and record keeping requirements.

Responsibilities

• Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently (deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, checks, night drop bags).
• Reconcile cash drawer by proving cash transactions and counting currency/coins.
• Perform account services for customers.
• Respond to inquiries and explain Dime products and services.
• Support branch manager's business development efforts (in-branch, phone, direct mail).
• Report under BSA CTR/SAR requirements and other internal reports.
• Perform New Account and File Maintenance reviews to ensure data integrity.
• Stay current with bank regulatory requirements.
• Uncover lending opportunities and refer to the appropriate department.
• Make decisions on overdrafts/overrides within authority.
• Cross-train on teller window and banking platform.
