Job summary

FedEx Logistics is seeking a senior operations leader in the United States (Jonesboro area) to plan, organize and control multiple operations. You will drive service quality, manage expenses, and lead a team toward a service-first, profit-conscious culture.

Responsibilities include budgeting, safety program enforcement, customer coordination, and project support. A 4-year degree and 5 years of field experience with leadership are preferred; MS Office proficiency required.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree preferred/equivalent in business
• Five (5) Years Experience In The Field/ Industry Required
• 1 year in a leadership role required
• CCS and/or Brokers license preferred
• Required - MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner)
• Strong basic management, human relations and communication (written and verbal) skills
• General knowledge of safety awareness within an operational division

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control the input, movement, processes/sort, and output of the operations to ensure a high level of service.
• Provide leadership and direction promoting the people-service-profit philosophy and developing team members.
• Manage direct expenses and ensure service quality as defined by KPIs and SQIs.
• Oversee one or multiple locations and a staff of 1–50 direct reports.
• Develop and implement budgets for revenue and payroll; apply cost-control measures to avoid penalties and dissatisfaction.
• Maintain contact with customers regarding service level conditions.
• Support and participate in projects related to customer service and support.
• Set and monitor team and individual goals for quality and productivity.
• Enforce safety programs and corporate policies; ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Prepare reports, payroll, schedules, and personnel records per policy; handle disciplinary actions as needed.
