Job summary

FedEx Logistics is hiring for a hybrid operations leadership role in the Tonawanda, NY area with in-office and some work-from-home flexibility. Plan, organize, and control operational inputs to ensure top service levels across multiple locations.

You will lead a staff of 1–50, manage expenses and budgets, and drive safety and security programs while expanding process improvements and customer satisfaction. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years experience in the field/ industry required.
• 1 year in a leadership role required.
• CCS and/or Brokers license preferred.
• MS Office, Outlook, Office equipment (phone, fax, photocopier, printer, scanner) required.
• Strong basic management, human relations and communication (written and verbal) skills.
• General knowledge of safety awareness within an operational division.
• Organizational Skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control the input, movement, processes/sort, and output of operations to ensure a high level of service.
• Manage all direct expenses related to the positions area of control.
• Ensure service quality as defined by KPIs/SQIs for area of responsibility.
• Be responsible for one or multiple locations.
• Lead and develop a staff including direct reports (1-50).
• Oversee revenue and payroll budget according to divisional needs; implement effective business tactics.
• Ensure cost effectiveness through control of equipment, utilities, supplies, overtime, and timely output.
• Maintain contact with customers regarding service conditions.
• Support design, development, implementation, and follow-up of projects related to customer service.
• Establish team and individual goals on quality and productivity.
• Enforce corporate security and safety programs.
