Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Georgia seeks a Distribution Operations Supervisor to direct and promote continuous improvement across air, ocean and cross-border shipments. You will manage the input, movement, and output of operations and lead a team of 1 to 15 staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 year associates or college degree preferred/equivalent in business.
• Minimum three years of experience in distribution, warehousing, shipping, or international freight forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of international and domestic distribution operations.
• Minimum 1 year leadership role.
• Strong management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of safety awareness in an operational division.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs regularly.
• Knowledge in WMS-EDI within distribution industry.
• Certified on all Machine Handling Equipment (MHEs).
• TSA Certified to operate within a CCSF if applicable.
• Knowledge of CFS/FTZ operations; IATA, IMDG, 49 CFR DG regulations.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and control input, movement, processing and output of operations.
• Lead 1 to 15 direct reports; develop staff through training.
• Recommend improvements to management to enhance workflow and results.
• Implement FedEx SOPs and ensure compliance across the department.
• Assist safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Communicate client issues and delays to management promptly.
• Develop and review costs for operational activities.
• Maintain inventory, payroll, performance reviews and records.
• Ensure cost effectiveness of operations and proper equipment utilization.
• Oversee safety and security of inventory and associates.
