Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Broadband Specialist I to perform installations, changes of service, and customer-focused field work. You will drive a company van, install cable and broadband, and handle related duties in customer homes with safety and quality in mind.

This role requires strong customer communication, basic mechanical knowledge, and the ability to work in varied spaces and weather. Training, benefits, and growth opportunities accompany the position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to work in high or tight spaces and various heights.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
• Ability to interact with customers and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Perform customer drop installations both exterior and interior.
• Make new connects, reconnects, and service changes.
• Analyze picture quality and ensure acceptability after installation.
• Use hand tools and CATV equipment safely and effectively.
• Read signal levels and maintain proper drop system layouts from blueprints.
• Drive company vehicle and perform vehicle upkeep.
