Job summary

Mediacom Communications is hiring a Broadband Specialist I to perform customer installation and service tasks across residential homes. You will drive a company vehicle, install and adjust cable TV and broadband, and handle related service requests with a focus on quality and safety.

The role requires strong communication, the ability to work flexible hours, and comfort working in existing homes in a fast-paced environment. Training and advancement opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with satisfactory driving record.
• Able to work in all weather conditions, at various heights and in tight spaces.

Responsibilities

• Install and upgrade cable TV and broadband service at customer sites, including exterior and interior drops.
• Perform new connects, reconnects, and disconnects; add outlets and adjust service levels.
• Interpret signal levels and troubleshoot installation using field strength meters and test equipment.
• Drive company vehicle and maintain proper vehicle upkeep; ensure safety and compliance with FCC rules.
