Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, seeks a Construction Project Manager II to lead field crews on major elevated infrastructure projects in Brooklyn and beyond.

You will review plans, issue work tickets, draft notices, and ensure safety and schedule adherence while coordinating with skilled trades and city agencies. A NY license and strong AutoCAD/MS Office skills are required.

Qualifications

• Four-year high school diploma and five years of full-time construction project management experience.
• Or one year of experience plus a bachelor’s degree in engineering/architecture or construction-related field.
• Valid professional engineer, architect, or landscape architect license may substitute experience.
• Experience reviewing plans, preparing tickets, and coordinating field crews is required.

Responsibilities

• Assign and coordinate activities of in-house crews for city projects.
• Review engineering plans and prepare work tickets and lane closure applications.
• Supervise safety, quality, and progress of construction, including nights and weekends.
• Prepare project cost reports and monitor material usage and manpower.
