The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, seeks an Associate Project Manager II to lead in-house crews on major bridge projects and oversee repairs, inspections, and safety compliance in NYC. This role requires coordinating plans, tickets, notices, and cost reports while managing evening and weekend work as needed.

Ideal candidates bring a civil service background, strong AutoCAD/MS Office skills, and a NY driver’s license.

Qualifications

• One year of supervising experience on engineering or construction projects.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering/related field or equivalent.
• Experience coordinating multiple trades and reviewing plans.

Responsabilités

• Assign and coordinate activities of in-house crews for bridge projects.
• Review repair plans and prepare work tickets and lane closure applications.
• Draft notices and coordinate with skilled trades to ensure safety standards.
• Monitor progress, track costs, and prepare project reports.
• Respond to emergencies and supervise after-hours work when needed.
