Job summary

The New York City Department of Transportation, Division of Bridges, seeks an Associate Project Manager II to coordinate in-house crews, review plans for repair projects, and prepare work tickets and Coast Guard notices of upcoming work.

You will monitor progress, ensure material standards, and respond to emergencies, including evenings and weekends. AutoCAD and MS Office experience preferred, NY driver’s license recommended.

Qualifications

  • A baccalaureate degree in engineering or related field and one year of project management experience; or
  • A four-year high school diploma and five years of project management experience; or
  • A four-year high school diploma plus additional education/experience to reach five years overall.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate activities of in-house crews and oversee repair projects.
  • Review engineering plans and prepare work tickets; draft Coast Guard notices of upcoming work.
  • Monitor daily progress, supervise materials usage, and ensure safety standards.
