Job summary

Apex Engineering Group seeks a Structural-Bridge Engineer to contribute to bridge and structural projects from preliminary design through construction, reporting to the Lead Structural Bridge Engineer. Flexible location with preferred Minnetonka office; in-person meetings with clients and project teams are expected.

The role requires a civil/structural engineering bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of bridge experience, with potential to become licensed within two years.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering; 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Ability to become licensed to practice structural engineering for bridges within two years; preferred.
• Experience with transportation projects and public agencies in MN/ND is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis and design.
• Prepare technical specifications, reports and correspondence for diverse audiences.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards and conduct independent checks of teammates’ designs.
• Collaborate with technicians to produce complete engineering plans and meet deadlines.
• Support project managers in technical proposals and client meetings.
