Apex Engineering Group is seeking a Structural-Bridge Engineer to join our team. The position is flexible in location with a preference for Minnetonka, and entails leading bridge design from preliminary through construction while collaborating with other engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural) and 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Licensing to practice structural engineering in bridge design preferred within two years of hire.
• Experience with transportation projects and public agencies in Minnesota and North Dakota is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Independently write technical specifications, reports, and other correspondence to audiences.
• Assemble plans for agencies to meet standards.
• Perform independent checking of others’ design work.
• Attend in-person client and project meetings.
