Ideal for someone new to bridge inspection aiming to grow into leadership responsibilities. You will contribute to inspection projects, perform field work, and collaborate with engineers to develop plans using Visio and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience with bridge/ancillary structure inspection projects.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Proficient understanding of structural engineering principles and applications.
• Strong interest in structures/transportation with good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a range of bridge and infrastructure inspection projects.
• Assist as Assistant Team Leader for bridge and sign structure inspections.
• Perform structural engineering tasks and field inspections.
• Support preparation of bridge load ratings.
• Develop plans and sketches using Visio and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with engineers across multiple projects.
• Assist with project research, preliminary repair calculations, and structural analysis.
• Help prepare cost proposals and scope-of-work documents.
• Collect, organize, and maintain project documentation.
• Stay current on structural engineering techniques and practices.
