Job summary

WSP is seeking an Assistant Team Leader for Bridge Inspections in New Jersey. This role joins our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team across New Jersey offices such as Lawrenceville-NJ, Newark-NJ, and Morristown-NJ.

Ideal for someone new to bridge inspection aiming to grow into a Team Leader role. You will perform field inspections, assist with load ratings, and develop plans using Visio and MicroStation while collaborating with engineers on multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Engineer-in-Training certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire.
• Proficient understanding of structural engineering principles and their application to project issues.
• Interest in structures, transportation, or related field with desire to develop skills at WSP.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a range of bridge and infrastructure inspection projects.
• Serve as an Assistant Team Leader for bridge and sign structure inspections.
• Perform structural engineering tasks and field inspections.
• Support preparation of bridge load ratings.
• Develop plans and sketches using Visio and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with engineers on multiple projects.
• Assist with project research and preliminary repair calculations.
