Job summary

WSP is seeking a Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in New Jersey. The role supports Newark-NJ, Lawrenceville-NJ, Morristown-NJ, and other offices, with a balance of field and office work.

The candidate will lead projects, perform inspections, and guide junior engineers while developing plans in MicroStation, Visio, and AutoCAD. A NJ PE and NCBI certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• New Jersey PE license or ability to obtain promptly.
• NCBI bridge inspector certification via FHWA course.
• 3+ years in bridge, tunnel, or infrastructure inspection or design.
• Proficient in structural engineering principles and related design applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team and mentor junior staff.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and site inspections.
• Assist in load ratings for bridges and tunnels.
• Develop plans using MicroStation, Visio and AutoCAD.
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team on multiple projects.
