WSP USA in New Jersey is seeking a Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader to guide the Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team across Newark-NJ, Lawrenceville-NJ, Morristown-NJ and more.

This role blends fieldwork and office work, with responsibilities in inspections, load ratings, and plans using MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Visio. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in bridge inspection and a NJ PE license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• NCBI certification through FHWA training.
• 3+ years in bridge/tunnel inspection or related work.
• New Jersey PE license or ability to obtain it promptly.
• Proficient knowledge of structural engineering principles and design/build.
• Strong leadership and communication to guide junior team members.
• Ability to perform extensive field work and travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team projects.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in bridge/tunnel load ratings and design tasks.
• Develop plans using MicroStation, Visio, AutoCAD.
• Provide guidance and training to entry-level engineers.
• Support preparation of cost proposals and project documentation.
• Maintain safety and ethics policies adherence.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on multiple projects.
