Job summary
WSP is seeking a Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team. The role is based in Newark or Morristown, NJ, and combines field and office work to lead a team of engineers on inspection projects.
The candidate will perform structural engineering tasks, contribute to load ratings, and develop plans using MicroStation, Visio, and AutoCAD. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for mentoring junior staff.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in structural/civil engineering required.
- NCBI certification through FHWA training required.
- 3+ years in bridge, tunnel, or related inspection/design expected.
Responsibilities
- Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on varied projects.
- Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
- Develop plans/sketches using MicroStation, Visio, AutoCAD.
- Guide entry-level engineers and provide training.
- Support cost proposals and scopes of work.
- Remain current with latest structural engineering practices.
