Job summary

WSP seeks a Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Team Leader to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team. This role can be based out of Newark or Morristown, New Jersey.

As Team Leader you will oversee field inspections, perform structural engineering analyses, develop plans using MicroStation, Visio and AutoCAD, and mentor entry‑level engineers. A strong background in transportation structures and leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• Nationally Certified Bridge Inspector (NCBI) certification through FHWA program.
• 3+ years in bridge/tunnel/ancillary inspection or related work.
• NJ PE license or ability to obtain promptly.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on a variety of projects.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Assist in the preparation of Bridge & Tunnel Load Ratings.
• Develop plans/sketches using MicroStation, Visio, and AutoCAD.
• Mentor entry-level engineers and guide project members.
