WSP is seeking a Structural Engineer - Bridge Inspection Assistant Team Leader in New Jersey to join our Lawrenceville office. This role combines field inspections with office analysis to support bridge and infrastructure projects.

You will grow into a Team Leader role, perform inspections, help develop load ratings, and use Visio and MicroStation. Ideal for early-career professionals eager to build technical and leadership skills in a collaborative, safety‑driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural or Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 0–1 year of experience with bridge/ancillary structure inspection projects.
• Engineer‑in‑Training certification or ability to obtain within 1 year of hire.
• Understanding of structural engineering principles and their project applications.
• Interest in structures/transportation or related field with desire to grow with WSP.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to a range of bridge and infrastructure inspection projects.
• Serve as an Assistant Team Leader for bridge and sign structure inspections.
• Perform structural engineering tasks and field inspections.
• Support preparation of bridge load ratings.
• Develop plans and sketches using Visio and MicroStation.
• Collaborate with engineers on multiple concurrent projects.
• Assist with project research, field work, preliminary repair calculations, and structural analysis.
