Job summary

WSP is seeking a Bridge Inspection Team Leader, Senior Structural Engineer to join our Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team in Pennsylvania, including offices in Philadelphia and surrounding areas. The role blends field and office work and offers growth into team leadership within a collaborative environment.

Qualified candidates have a structural/civil engineering degree, current NCBI and CBSI certifications, 5–10 years in related work, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Structural or Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• NCBI certification current (FHWA bridge training) or PennDOT equivalent; CBSI current.
• 5–10 years in bridge/tunnel/inspections or related infra work.
• EIT certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and analysis.
• Ability to lead junior staff and work with cross‑functional teams.
• Professional communication skills and field safety mindset.
• Ability to work 50% in field and 50% in office.
• Valid driver's license and pass MVR check.

Responsibilities

• Lead Bridge & Infrastructure Inspection Team on multiple projects.
• Perform professional structural engineering work and inspections.
• Develop plans/sketches using AutoCAD.
• Assist in load ratings and cost proposals.
• Provide guidance to entry-level engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain project documentation and research in field work.
