Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Bridge Technical Manager to lead complex bridge projects and grow technical leadership across Kansas, Missouri, and beyond. This role emphasizes mentoring staff, guiding design approaches, and maintaining high-quality engineering documents.

The position offers a hybrid schedule with offices in KCK, KCMO, Topeka, Wichita, Manhattan, or Lenexa. The ideal candidate will have a B.S.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) required.
• PE License required.
• 8+ years of structural engineering with a transportation focus.
• DOT experience preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation and 3D bridge modeling.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and direct the advancement of technical staff while executing projects.
• Manage technical elements of a project and determine analyses and practical approaches.
• Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design with complete design details.
• Communicate progress to Project Manager promptly and consistently.
• Adhere to internal quality control, documentation, and project tracking procedures.
• Contribute as a technical specialist or advisor on project work.
