Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Bridge Technical Manager in the Kansas City area. This hybrid role will focus on leading complex bridge projects, mentoring engineers, and expanding technical leadership across the region.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8+ years in structural engineering with a transportation emphasis, and strong MicroStation/3D bridge modeling skills. DOT experience is a plus, and construction engineering services are desirable.

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering (Structural) required.
PE license required.
8+ years of structural engineering experience with a transportation focus.
DOT experience preferred and beneficial.
Advanced knowledge of bridge-specific software and codes.

Responsibilities

Mentor and direct the advancement of staff while executing projects.
Manage technical elements and determine appropriate analyses and design approaches.
Perform, review, and manage technical analyses and designs ensuring completeness of details.
Communicate progress and issues to Project Manager promptly.
Adhere to internal quality procedures and project tracking.
Contribute as a technical specialist or advisor on projects and pursuits.
Help grow the practice and develop as a regional expert across divisions.
