You will self-perform and direct project teams on transportation structures, serving as a subject matter expert and mentoring staff to ensure high-quality engineering documents.

Qualifications

• BSCE (Structural) required per job posting.
• PE license required.
• 8+ years of structural engineering experience focused on transportation.
• DOT experience preferred.
• Experience with MicroStation and 3D bridge modeling is desirable.
• Experience with Construction Engineering services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and direct the advancement of the technical skills of staff while executing projects.
• Manage technical elements of a project, including assessing what analyses need to be completed and what is the most practical approach for that analysis.
• Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design. Take responsibility for the completeness of design details.
• Communicate technical progress and issues to Project Manager promptly and continuously.
• Adhere to all internal procedures for quality control, documentation, and project tracking.
• Contribute to other project work as a technical specialist or advisor.
• Provide input into the growth of the practice.
• Work toward being a leading subject matter expert on targeted elements within the discipline.
