Job summary

Benesch is seeking a Structural Bridge Technical Manager to lead self-perform and direct teams in planning and design of transportation structures. You will mentor staff, ensure high-quality documents, and provide technical guidance to drive project success.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in structural engineering with a transportation focus, a PE license, and MicroStation experience, with DOT and 3D modeling valued. Hybrid work across Kansas/Missouri offices is offered.

Qualifications

B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering (Structural) required.
PE License required.
8+ years in structural engineering with a transportation focus.
DOT experience preferred.
MicroStation experience required; 3D bridge modeling desired.

Responsibilities

Mentor and direct the advancement of staff while executing projects.
Manage technical elements of projects, including analyses and design approaches.
Perform, review, and manage technical analysis and design with complete details.
Communicate progress and issues to the Project Manager promptly.
Adhere to internal procedures for quality control and project tracking.
Contribute as a technical specialist or advisor on project work.
Provide input into the growth of the practice.
Work toward becoming a leading subject matter expert in targeted elements.
