Job summary

Apex Engineering Group, Inc. seeks a Structural Bridge Engineer to contribute from preliminary design through construction. You will develop plans and specifications and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver high-quality bridge projects.

The role requires independent work, strong communication, and attention to detail. Preferred candidates hold a civil/structural engineering degree with 2+ years of bridge experience; licensure within two years is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (civil, structural) with 2+ years of bridge engineering experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Windows/Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform bridge engineering related calculations, analysis, and design tasks.
• Independently write technical specifications, reports, and other correspondence.
• Independently assemble plans for different agencies to meet standards.
• Perform independent checking of design work of other team members.
• Collaborate with technicians to assemble complete engineering plans.
• Meet deadlines and manage project time effectively.
• Travel and potential overtime during deadlines for submittals.
