Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards, reporting to the Store Manager. You will exemplify friendly, knowledgeable service and technical expertise while delivering a superior customer experience.

Responsibilities include welcoming customers across channels, managing flow, promoting alteration services, and assisting stylists with gown fitting and customization. Maintain cleanliness and process transactions accurately.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years retail experience in apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably bridal/special occasion.
• Prior experience with computerized POS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome all customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, and online, adapting style to suit customers by problem solving.
• Use systems to manage customer flow to deliver five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels with preparedness, welcoming attitude, and meeting customer needs.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers and contribute to five-star service.
• Address customer concerns confidently and partner with leadership when needed.
• Explain how alterations enhance dress fit and promote alteration services.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards and dress code compliance.
• Greet and escort alterations customers to appointments and inspect garments for quality.
