Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards while delivering exceptional customer service. You will work with stylists to advise on gown fit, manage alterations, and keep the area neat and organized.

The role requires sewing experience, retail exposure, and comfort with POS systems. The position emphasizes friendly, knowledgeable service and supports the brand’s five-star customer experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent degree.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in an apparel or specialty store.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably in bridal and/or alterations.
• Prior experience with computerized POS system is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine enthusiasm over the phone, online chats, and in person, adapting style to suit customers and solving problems.
• Manage customer flow using all systems to deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain store standards and operate the alterations room to meet company guidelines.
• Provide exceptional service to multiple customers and contribute to five-star service.
• Address customer concerns confidently and partner with leadership when needed.
• Explain how alterations enhance the dress and promote services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Ensure accurate transactions at the cash wrap and maintain a clean, organized environment.
