Job summary

David’s Bridal is seeking an Alterations Specialist to complete fittings and alterations to high standards and to report to the Store Manager. You will provide friendly, knowledgeable service and collaborate with stylists to ensure customer satisfaction throughout the gown customization process.

The role emphasizes problem solving, quality control of garments, and maintaining a flawless alterations room and store environment while upholding the company dress code policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years prior retail experience in apparel or specialty store environment preferred.
• Prior sewing experience required, preferably bridal and/or special occasion production.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers with genuine, friendly enthusiasm in person, over the phone, or via virtual chats.
• Use all systems to manage customer flow and deliver a five-star experience.
• Maintain service levels with preparedness, warmth, and ability to meet both emotional and practical needs of customers.
• Provide an exceptional service experience to multiple customers at one time and contribute to five-star service.
• Address customer concerns promptly and escalate when appropriate to leadership.
• Explain how alterations can improve dress fit and promote alteration services and personalization options.
• Assist stylists in closing sales by advising on gown fit and customization.
• Maintain store standards and dress code compliance.
• Escort alterations customers to appointments and ensure garment quality before delivery.
• Resolve customer issues promptly following company guidelines.
• Support cash wrap processes and handle transactions accurately.
