Job summary

New Belgium Brewing Company is seeking a working supervision position responsible for leading a team of highly skilled technicians to maintain, repair, and troubleshoot brewery systems across the facility.

The role emphasizes strong leadership, extensive mechanical expertise, and knowledge of brewing processes. You will manage maintenance planning, safety procedures, and participate in on-call mechanical programs within a dynamic production environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of related experience.
• Proven ability to lead and direct the work of others.
• Extensive mechanical knowledge and abilities.
• Brewing and production process knowledge.
• Chemical handling expertise.
• Maintenance outages scheduling experience.
• Electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and welding skills.
• Experience with lathes, drill presses, and other tools.
• Sanitary engineering concepts understanding.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, policies and regulations.
• P&ID reading and construction drawings understanding.
• Confined space and LOTO trained and certified.
• OSHA 10 and 30 hour certified.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a team; manage performance, address personnel issues, set team priorities and goals, provide coaching, feedback, training and development.
• Assist with development of annual budgets.
• Resolve daily issues; work cross departmentally to schedule major rebuilds and downtime.
• Perform maintenance on specific equipment; identify critical spare parts.
• Develop maintenance requirements and training checklists on specific equipment.
• Monitor and ensure safety and operational policies and procedures are followed; provide tools and communication to mitigate; lock out equipment when required.
• Participate in on-call mechanical program.
• Other duties as assigned.
