Job summary

New Belgium Brewing Company Inc. seeks a working supervisor to lead a team of skilled technicians in maintaining, repairing and troubleshooting brewery systems across the operation.

You will oversee daily tasks, coach staff, manage priorities and ensure safety compliance. The role requires 8+ years of related experience with expert mechanical and brewing process knowledge, strong leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; 8+ years related experience or equivalent training
• Proven ability to lead and direct the work of others
• Expert mechanical knowledge and hands-on proficiency in brewery equipment
• Expert brewing process knowledge and understanding of production systems
• Expert knowledge of chemical handling and safety procedures
• Experience with scheduling maintenance outages and downtime
• Strong electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, and welding abilities
• Proficient in reading P&ID and construction drawings
• Confined space, LOTO, OSHA 10/30 trained and certified
• Willingness to travel 5-20%

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of a team and performance management
• Assist with development of annual budgets
• Coordinate cross-departmental schedules for major rebuilds and downtime
• Perform maintenance on equipment and identify critical spare parts
• Develop maintenance requirements and training checklists
• Ensure safety policies are followed and equipment is locked out when required
• Participate in on-call mechanical program
• Other duties as assigned
