The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field, plus hands-on livestock experience and departmental certification. Weekend/evening work and on-call duties are expected as part of a fast-paced farm setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university in Animal Science or related Agricultural field.
• 2 years’ direct experience in handling livestock and managing animal welfare required.
• Certification in department, required.
• Ability to do hard physical labor.
• Strong commitment to teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and assign tasks to meet production goals.
• Staff development and training; health and welfare of animals.
• Learn, demonstrate knowledge and skills; become certified in company systems.
• Maintain equipment and environment in all section barns.
• Manage feed inventory and day-to-day inventory procedures.
• Update department records and follow SOPs.
