Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Animal Science or related field, or current student
  • Able to work ~48 hours per week, including weekends/holidays
  • Willing to relocate for training and first assignment
  • Computer literate with Microsoft software

Responsibilities

  • Learn, demonstrate capability, and become certified in all farm department areas under supervision
  • Understand pig production processes, animal flow, farm health, and genetics
  • Perform hourly jobs under supervision and become certified in each
  • Develop and prepare reports on experiences and address opportunities for improvement
  • Lead others as needed after certification
  • Be on call to work in emergency situations and during environmental events
