Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Mammography Technologist to perform breast imaging and DEXA scans following ARRT, ACR, and MQSA guidelines. You will assist radiologists, document clinical histories, and maintain high-quality imaging with strict safety standards.

Required ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology with preferred mammography credential, plus an on-site team approach. EPIC/EHR and PACS exposure supports coordinated patient care.

Qualifications

• Certification and Registration with ARRT in Diagnostic Radiology is required
• Advanced modality registration in Mammography is preferred or must be obtained within 1 year
• State licensure is preferred unless required by state law
• BLS from AHA is required at hire for certain Mercy locations and preferred prior to independent patient care

Responsibilities

• Performs all breast imaging and DEXA procedures.
• Assists radiologist in invasive breast procedures with aseptic technique and informed consent.
• Correlates patient history with procedure and documents information for licensed providers.
• Operates breast imaging equipment and selects appropriate exposure factors.
• Applies radiation protection principles to minimize exposure.
• Ensures patient safety during procedures and provides education and discharge instructions.
• Participates in department quality assessments and improvement plans.
